On Saturday I attended a get-together for photographers and videographers called the "Eastern Shore Photog Shootout". The ESPS is a social/networking group started by Rob Nicholson, a wedding photographer from Lewes, Delaware, and incredibly, every photographer in attendance at the event is a wedding photographer (or videographer).
Saturday's event was split between two locations. First, we met at the clubhouse at Baywood Greens. Rob invited his newlywed friends Rob and Melissa to the event, to play our model bride and groom, and everyone had opportunity to take photos and share techniques and posing ideas.
Afterwards, we all went to the Greene Turtle in Lewes for some food and drink, and for the presentation/discussion portion of the day. There were discussions on pricing, search engine optimization, and social networking - all very useful and thought-provoking subject matter.
It was great to meet some really nice people, talk shop, share ideas, and do some networking. I'm really looking forward to the next ESPS get-together!

New TimelineWeddings.com website is up!
After suffering another round of frustration in correspondence with our web hosting company, the new TimelineWeddings.com is finally online!
With bigger photos and video, and a simple and sleek black theme, the new site has a bit more impact, and we like it better. Tell us what you think about the new site: info@TimelineWeddings.com

Tammy and Scott - November 22, 2008
Tammy and Scott had a fantastic wine-themed wedding, with both ceremony and reception being held at Cavalier's Country Club in Newark. Everyone's favorite part of the ceremony was surely the second reading which, rather than being taken from the Bible, was instead found in Dean Martin's "That's Amore".
Unfortunately, with a late afternoon, late November ceremony, it was too dark and too cold to do any photos outdoors, but we managed to do some indoors between the ceremony and the reception.
It turned out that I went to high school with the DJ, who had known Scott since childhood; another old friend of mine was a guest. Delaware is such a small place - I love it here!
Amanda and Jim - November 15, 2008
Amanda and Jim win this year's award for "Most Fun Wedding Party". In fact, in sixteen years photographing weddings, I've never seen such entertaining entrances at a reception.

They also win the "Cutest/Quaintest Church" award, having chosen Calvary Episcopal Church in Aston, PA. I love the stained glass and the red roof.

The reception was at historic King's Mills, which happens to be right across the road from the church. In fact, some of the groomsmen actually walked down the hill and across the road to the reception, lucky to have avoided the heavy rain, which held off JUST long enough for everyone to get under cover.

This wedding was a lot of fun; we'll remember it for a long time. Congrats, Amanda and Jim - and LET'S GO FLY-ERS! :-)
Mike and Carolyn - November 8, 2008

Mike and Carolyn had a beautiful wedding, with a great ceremony at St. John on the Brandywine (our second this year!), photos inside and out on the beautiful grounds, and another fantastic reception at The Farmhouse. I loved the colors they chose...perfect for the famous yellow exterior of the church and to fit the mood of a late fall wedding like a glove!

Tasha and Chris - October 26, 2008

Delaware Park was the site of Tasha and Chris's excellent wedding. The facility is top-notch, whether for a combined ceremony and reception, or a reception only. We had a lot of time between the reception and the 'after-party' (which was basically like a second reception) - so we did a lot of outdoor photos. Both Tasha and Chris were really good sports, and Jason and I took advantage of their willingness and creativity, making sure to get some really cool shots, like this one of Tasha balanced on a rail.
These guys were such a fun couple; we really enjoyed sharing their day with them. Congratulations, Chris and Tasha!
