New TimelineWeddings.com website is up!
After suffering another round of frustration in correspondence with our web hosting company, the new TimelineWeddings.com is finally online!
With bigger photos and video, and a simple and sleek black theme, the new site has a bit more impact, and we like it better. Tell us what you think about the new site: info@TimelineWeddings.com

Tammy and Scott - November 22, 2008
Tammy and Scott had a fantastic wine-themed wedding, with both ceremony and reception being held at Cavalier's Country Club in Newark. Everyone's favorite part of the ceremony was surely the second reading which, rather than being taken from the Bible, was instead found in Dean Martin's "That's Amore".
Unfortunately, with a late afternoon, late November ceremony, it was too dark and too cold to do any photos outdoors, but we managed to do some indoors between the ceremony and the reception.
It turned out that I went to high school with the DJ, who had known Scott since childhood; another old friend of mine was a guest. Delaware is such a small place - I love it here!
Amanda and Jim - November 15, 2008
Amanda and Jim win this year's award for "Most Fun Wedding Party". In fact, in sixteen years photographing weddings, I've never seen such entertaining entrances at a reception.
They also win the "Cutest/Quaintest Church" award, having chosen Calvary Episcopal Church in Aston, PA. I love the stained glass and the red roof.
The reception was at historic King's Mills, which happens to be right across the road from the church. In fact, some of the groomsmen actually walked down the hill and across the road to the reception, lucky to have avoided the heavy rain, which held off JUST long enough for everyone to get under cover.
This wedding was a lot of fun; we'll remember it for a long time. Congrats, Amanda and Jim - and LET'S GO FLY-ERS! :-)
Mike and Carolyn - November 8, 2008
Mike and Carolyn had a beautiful wedding, with a great ceremony at St. John on the Brandywine (our second this year!), photos inside and out on the beautiful grounds, and another fantastic reception at The Farmhouse. I loved the colors they chose...perfect for the famous yellow exterior of the church and to fit the mood of a late fall wedding like a glove!
Tasha and Chris - October 26, 2008
Delaware Park was the site of Tasha and Chris's excellent wedding. The facility is top-notch, whether for a combined ceremony and reception, or a reception only. We had a lot of time between the reception and the 'after-party' (which was basically like a second reception) - so we did a lot of outdoor photos. Both Tasha and Chris were really good sports, and Jason and I took advantage of their willingness and creativity, making sure to get some really cool shots, like this one of Tasha balanced on a rail.
These guys were such a fun couple; we really enjoyed sharing their day with them. Congratulations, Chris and Tasha!
Melissa and Jason - October 18, 2008
Melissa and Jason tied the knot in Newark on a chilly Saturday in mid October. The ceremony was perfect, and was in a church in which we'd never shot, which is always a plus. (We're going to see every church in the state eventually!)
The reception was across town at the Aetna Hall, and was a lot of fun - particularly the 'Chicken Dance'...Holy Moly! Special kudos to DJ Dana McDonald (from WSTW); he did a great job, as usual!

Ashley and Michael - October 11, 2008
Ashley and Michael were married in Newark on a fantastic October afternoon. The Catholic ceremony was officiated by Michael's uncle, and that made it pretty special and a little more personal than Catholic ceremonies typically are.
For the reception we moved just up the road to Holy Angels, which has a great reception hall. The thing I will always remember about Ashley and Michael's wedding (besides how beautiful Ashley looked on her wedding day) is the dancing at the reception. What a crowd! They simply never stopped dancing, and the DJ never played a slow song. THAT was a kickin' reception...they should all be so good!
Kelly and Stewart - September 27, 2008
Delaware National Country Club was the single location for Kelly and Stu's wedding. Everything - from the preparations, to the ceremony, the photos, and the reception - was done at DNCC...a great location!
Despite the soggy ground, we had a lot of fun doing photos outdoors; the ones on the practice green were my favorites.
I'm doing more detail and abstract shots than ever before, letting small details tell a bigger story. It's fun to mix some of these in - sometimes a closer look is just the ticket!
Tara and Nick - August 30, 2008
A hot day in late August found Timeline Weddings at Tara and Nick's amazing wedding. With a wonderful ceremony at St. John on the Brandywine, and a short stop at a private mansion nearby for some photos, the day couldn't have gone much better.
Then the reception... Our first time at Archmere Academy, and what an awesome place for a wedding reception! Very intimate and classy - we loved it! We invited fellow Delaware photographer Paul Pruitt to join us for this one, and his great eye and talent helped to create some really great photos.
Amanda & Danny - September 20, 2008
Amanda and Danny had a great ceremony at the Historic Garden at the Corbitt-Sharp House in Odessa, Delaware. Outdoor ceremonies RULE! We took advantage of the great variety of natural scenery at the garden to do some nice outdoor photos of the happy couple and the wedding party.
On the way to the reception, we stopped by their house in town, where we replicated a shot they'd seen in a magazine and asked us to do.
The reception at the Middletown Volunteer Hose Company Hall was excellent - what a great hall! We've shot a few weddings there, and like the facility a lot. This shot of Amanda and Danny was inspired by a shot I'd done earlier this year with my friend Jess (who's having her own wedding reception at MVHC next fall). It's always fun to take an existing image and replicate or try to improve upon the concept.
